Situated in the beautiful conservation village of Barrowden, within England’s smallest county, Rutland, in the East Midlands, is this delightful converted coach house. All set in beautiful grounds with an attractive gravel driveway and positioned next to the owner’s home, the Coach House offers comfortable accommodation for couples wanting to escape the rush of everyday life and relax in this idyllic rural area. Stepping inside, you will come to a lounge area, where you can sink into the sofas and catch up on your favourite shows on the Smart TV. Prepare your meals in the fitted kitchen, having all the appliances you could need to rustle up a delicious, home-cooked meal to reward yourself after a day of activity. Take a refreshing drink out to the enclosed courtyard where you can enjoy a spot of alfresco dining with a barbecue to assist. As the evening comes to an end, retire to the comfortable bedrooms for a peaceful sleep. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, with one of these offering Jack-and-Jill access to serve the third double bedroom. The unspoilt village of Barrowden is small in size but offers a good selection of amenities, including a community shop with a café serving freshly baked goods and a pub overlooking the village green. The surrounding area is a real haven for outdoor enthusiasts with a number of footpaths and cycle trails to explore, as well as the magnificent Rutland Water reservoir where you can get involved in a wide range of birdwatching and watersporting activities. You will have easy access to a number of attractive market towns such as Uppingham, Oakham and Stamford, where you can visit the great Burghley House. The Coach House offers a heart-warming escape, any time of year.
Barrowden is located adjacent to the River Welland in Rutland and in between Uppingham and Peterborough. The village offers a convenience store, community shop, café and a traditional pub to try. Close by is Rutland Water reservoir which offers a number of watersport activities and the Rutland Water Golf Club which is ideal for the keen golfer. Other attractions in the region can be found in Uppingham, Oakham and Stamford, home to the iconic Burghley House.
