Thaxted 1.7 miles. Tucked away in the rolling English countryside, in the sleepy hamlet of Monk Street, you will find the picture-perfect cottage, Flink's Barn. Set over the ground floor, this attractive blue dwelling offers an idyllic base for a romantic retreat for two to Essex. Admire the traditional stable door as you step inside this inviting open-plan living space and unwind in the plush white armchair. Take to the charming country-style kitchen and prepare a hearty home-cooked dinner with the help of the handy appliances and utensils that lie within the pretty oak cabinets. Take a seat at the spacious dining table and indulge in your mouth-watering meal as you map out your plans for the duration of your stay and raise a glass of bubbly to time well-spent with your significant other. Grab a board game from the shelf or snuggle close to your partner as you watch a captivating movie on the TV. Lay your head to rest in the tranquil double bedroom, decorated with calming blue hues and pretty floral curtains, as well as an eye-catching oak armchair where you can delight in your favourite novel.
