This charming, little cottage is tucked away in the village of Glasbury amidst the beautiful scenery of Mid Wales. Sleeping up to four guests, Cwmbach is a wonderful setting for a family getaway with easy access to the delights of the Brecon Beacons National Park. After a day of wild rambling, look forward to curling up beside in the wood burner, lounging on the sofa whilst you watch a family film. Step into the kitchen, compact but light and airy, here the chef of the group can relish in some home-cooking with an electric oven and hob, fridge, and a washing machine amongst the appliances. Climb the stairs to reach the bedrooms, neatly presented with fresh white bed linen and offering a double and twin arrangement, whilst a bathroom completes the interior. Enjoy a drink from the garden decking whilst the gentle flow of the brook puts you at ease, but please bear in mind this is an unfenced area and children are to be supervised. Glasbury is a quiet village home to an 18th century pub, The Harp Inn, where you can enjoy a sit-down meal with a refreshing ale, plus there is a service station selling the essentials. Venture to the traditional market town of Hay-on-Wye, a popular spot for literary lovers due to its famous Hay Festival of Literature as well as offering several cute eateries and quirky antique shops. Make the most of natural scenery on offer and explore the Brecon Beacons National Park, bursting with walking, cycling, fishing and canoeing opportunities. Continue outdoor exploration and visit Knighton, on the edge of the Shropshire Hills, this is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, nestled on Offa’s Dyke, and surrounded by lush rolling countryside of the Marshes. An ideal base for families eager to escape to the heart of Wales, Cwmbach has plenty to look forward to.
Glasbury, commonly known as Glasbury-on-Wye, is a lovely village in the Welsh county of Powys.
