Exploration further afield will bring you to the towns of Grasmere, with its Gingerbread shop, Ambleside with its range of arts, crafts and jewellery shops, and Bowness-on-Windermere with the wonderful World of Beatrix Potter Attraction. The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year.
