Gable View is a well-loved cottage on a working farm, praised for its stunning views, peaceful environment, and friendly hosts. Guests enjoy the farm setting, cosy atmosphere, and the property's proximity to local attractions. While some find the cottage and its facilities compact, the majority appreciate its charm and character, making it a popular choice for repeat visits.
Most guests find the cottage clean and inviting, though there are isolated reports of cleanliness issues such as a musty smell and the presence of spiders. The majority of reviews, however, do not raise significant concerns about cleanliness.
The location is highly praised for its quietness, beautiful views, and proximity to both the coast and the Lake District's attractions. It serves as a great base for exploring the area, with many guests returning for the location alone.
Guests generally find the cottage cosy and comfortable, with a particularly comfortable bed mentioned frequently. However, some guests note the compact size of the cottage and en-suite, which may affect comfort for some visitors.
The facilities are adequate for most guests, with a well-equipped kitchen and good Wi-Fi. However, some guests suggest that the facilities could benefit from updates and maintenance, such as the bathroom size and kitchen appliances.
