Just half a mile from the edge of Derwentwater, book on a cruise and enjoy hopping on and off to explore the towns and villages which dot the water s edge. From Lodore (3 miles), visit the tumbling falls; head up Catbells from Hawse End (4 miles); or stop off at Lingholm (3 miles) if you re a Beatrix Potter fan. A great starting point for hiking summits in return for panoramic views, Skiddaw is 5 miles away and the start of the ridgetop walk. Coledale Horseshoe, lies 3 miles away in Braithwaite. When the weather turns, there's a cinema, theatre, climbing wall and museums. After climbing steps to the third floor, find yourselves in this home from home where the views are worth the ascent. On arrival, head straight for the lounge and get comfortable on the sofa and switch on the Smart TV, which also has a Playstation with numerous DVDs available for a relaxing afternoon or just sit back and enjoy the magnificent views of Skiddaw. The kitchen you will find all you need to cook up a storm which also has a handy washing machine. When it s time to head to bed, the master bedroom boasts a king size bed and wonderful views over fells and Walla Crag. There is also an additional small single room. The bathroom has a shower over bath. A parking permit is available for one car in the adjoining car park, but luggage can be unloaded outside the apartment.
