Other beauty spots include Whinlatter Forest, Ashness Bridge, Surprise View and of course the shores of Derwentwater offering a wide variety of activities including boat hire and cruises. For the less active there are numerous shops, pubs, restaurants, museums and parks and of course The Theatre by the Lake. There really is something here for everyone.

The property was very central but it wasnât noisy at all. There was n allocated parking space which is a real bonus in Keswick. The flat was very clean & well equipped. The shower was hot & powerful and the kitchen had everything required. Our only issues was that we all found the beds uncomfortable. The mattresses were of good quality they just didnât meet our preferences. Iâm sure other people would find them perfect. Despite this minor issue we would definitely return to this fantastic property.

The road noise and buzz from the shops below didnât bother us as we enjoyed seeing the world pass by but may not suit everyone. The flat was clean and good amenities. There is an issue with the toilet flush and sounds like an air lock in the system as at the end of the flush when the toilet has refilled it makes a terrible chugging noise. The flat has a handy car park space which is a massive bonus. The space is a little tight in between 2 thin metal poles but we managed no problem with a VW Golf. We had a fabulous week!
