Set off from your doorstep to summit the fells of Blencathra (3 miles) or Skiddaw (8.5 miles), or perhaps pay a visit to the majestic landscapes of the Whinlatter Forest Park (8.5 miles). Further afield you ll discover the towns of Penrith (13.5 miles) and Carlisle (24 miles), both truly worth a day out in the car.
