An additional snug has a TV/DVD and wood burner, so there’s plenty of room for everyone. The traditional country-style kitchen/diner has plenty of equipment for preparing and sharing your favourite family dishes. Finally, the ground floor offers a refreshing family bathroom with a relaxing freestanding bath. This room was formerly a larder and still has original meat hooks in the ceiling. Heading up the wide winding staircase, you will have a choice of four cosy bedrooms: an en-suite king-size room, an en-suite double, a twin and a bunk bedroom. Also nearby are Whinlatter Forest Park, the Lake District Wildlife Park and Mirehouse and Gardens on the banks of Bassenthwaite Lake (all within 7.5 miles).
