The Old Mill is a romantic, second-floor apartment resting in the heart of Keswick in the Lake District National Park. With contemporary furnishings and rustic exposed beams, the apartment is a perfect hideaway for two to explore the breath-taking countryside and quaint towns. A parking permit is provided for the nearby car park with electric charging point, before settling into your home-from-home. A staircase takes you from the ground to second floor where you will be welcomed by a bright and airy open-plan living space with a Juliet balcony to admire Derwent Street whilst sipping your morning coffee. Stock up the cupboards in the fully-equipped kitchen area with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher and washing machine, alongside dining seating for four; a lovely spot to tuck into a romantic dinner for two or a takeaway after busy days! As the sun sets, freshen up in the shower room before snuggling up under the sheets to catch your rest, ready for the day's adventures! Keswick's fantastic amenities and attractions are a stone's throw away from The Old Mill, from restaurants and bars to quaint tearooms and antique shops. Choose between the Pencil Museum, Keswick Museum and The Puzzling Place on rainy days, whilst Hope Park and Theatre By The Lake are perfect settings for summer evenings. Along Derwentwater, there are plenty of walks, watersports and sailing opportunities to make the most of your fantastic surroundings; don't forget your walking boots to climb the likes of Skiddaw and Blencathra for rewarding views at the top! Bassenthwaite is nearby along the stunning Bassenthwaite Lake National Nature Reserve, whilst Ullswater is home to Aira Force Waterfall and boat trips to lakeside villages such as Pooley Bridge, and Glenridding. The popular sites of Windermere and Ambleside are also within easy reach for plenty of walks, scenic views and independent eateries. Keswick, the popular tourist destination in the north of the Lake District, has something to offer visitors at any time of year. The town offers a variety of shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing, and excellent mountain biking opportunities, while the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre.
