Combe Cottage is a well-received holiday rental with guests praising its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and thoughtful touches. The location is appreciated for its proximity to the beach and local amenities, such as the friendly Miner's Arms pub. While the kitchen size and parking are noted concerns, the overall experience is positive, with the cottage's charm and cleanliness being standout features.
Guests consistently note the property as extremely clean and well presented, indicating a high standard of cleanliness throughout the cottage.
The cottage's location is praised for its closeness to the beach, local pub, and train station, although the lack of general shops in the village is mentioned.
The comfort of the cottage is well-regarded, with mentions of a comfortable lounge and beds, although one review suggests the second bedroom's beds are small and more suitable for children.
Facilities are generally good, including a dishwasher and dog bed, but some guests mention issues with heating, hot water, and limited kitchen space, suggesting room for improvement.
While reviews indicate that the owners have been considerate in providing a well-equipped and clean property, there are no specific mentions of gifts, so it is not possible to assess this category.

It was very clean and well furnished. The lounge is very comfortable and the big dining table was great for family board games in the evenings. It's in a very handy location and is only a short drive to many different places including the beautiful nearby beaches. I would definitely recommend it and hopefully we will be back very soon.

The house is very well equipped, clean and nicely decorated and has plenty of space to spread out (apart from the kitchen which is rather on the small side. But it was adequate for 2 people and we ate out quite a lot anyway.) There is an unlimited supply of hot water and a good sized bathroom. Silecroft itself, is a lovely little village, if lacking in basic amenities such as a general shop. But again, that was not really a problem, having taken the most essential groceries with us. The local pub, the Miner's Arms, is a great place for a couple of drinks at the end of the day. Sadly they no longer do food. We loved the fact that we could walk to the train station in a minute and catch a train to one of the many stops further up the coast, such as Ravenglass and St Bees (or down to Millom etc). The Silecroft beach is just a few minutes drive away. Our dog loved it! As did we! Three miles of unspoilt, beautiful sand (when the tide goes out). We would definitely go again!

Everything you need is at the cottage, well thought out. Lovely quite place. The only 2 problems was the heating was not on when we arrived, we didn't realise until the next morning as we came late due to traffic. No hot water in the morning. My husband got it on. The system is old, and could in the future do with updating, which I'm sure the owners are aware of. The only other problem was no bath mat when taking a shower. This is only because I had a bad accident in a hotel, and its a particular fear of mine. Regarding the parking, we got parked outside the door mostly, otherwise just down the street, it wasn't a hassle, don't understand what the fuss is about.
