This Seathwaite cottage offers excellent accommodation, including a first floor sitting room with gas fire and dining area with views across to the fells. There is also a kitchen on this level of your Seathwaite cottage, while on the two lower floors are a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, two further bedrooms and a family bathroom. Outside this Duddon Valley cottage is a patio area with furniture – a perfect place to admire the breathtaking scenery. Just a stone’s throw from this Seathwaite cottage is a country pub, serving local ales together with their speciality steak pie, a great place to recover after a hard day out enjoying this spectacular location! The small hamlet of Seathwaite is surrounded by an abundance of wildlife, and an amble up alongside the River Duddon to Birks Bridge, the gateway to Harter Fell, is sure to delight at any time of the year, whether during the spring with the lambs gambolling or during the early summer with the bluebells in bloom. This Duddon Valley cottage is a perfect base for mountain bikers, mountaineers and walkers, with the ancient Walna Scar Road running from the hamlet. Excellent bakers and butchers are available in the bustling village of Broughton-in-Furness, and there is an excellent local store available at Ulpha, perfect for every-day essentials. With stunning scenery, an excellent pub and cosy accommodation, this Duddon Valley cottage is perfect at any time of the year.
Broughton-in-Furness is situated in the south western corner of the Lake District and is just six miles from Coniston Water. The village offers a cobbled square, shops and pubs. From Broughton-in-Furness walking and climbing can be enjoyed, plus the Furness railway line runs from nearby Foxfield and makes for an ideal day out.
