The beautiful hamlet of Near Sawrey is most famous for its historic resident Beatrix Potter who once lived at Hill Top. Though small and peaceful Near Sawrey is home to the Tower Bank Arms pub. For a great range of shops and restaurants, Hawkshead village is a short drive away and vibrant Bowness-On-Windermere can be reached via the car-ferry crossing which is just two miles away. A stay in Near Sawrey wouldn’t be complete without enjoying a local walk or two and Grizedale Forest is a great choice for walks with the family.
