In this peaceful location with beautiful views and near the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway it is an ideal base from which to explore the south part of Lake Windermere, Grange over Sands, Coniston and Ulverston. There are good walks around the cottage and the Lakes Motor Museum to visit.
