Langdale View is a traditional style lodge situated in the Skiptory Howe area of White Cross Bay. It enjoys a private spot on the park with woodland to three sides of the lodge. Langdale View offers a cosy, retreat ideal for couples or families with children looking for a Lakes getaway. Double doors at the front of the lodge lead into the open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area decorated in traditional pine cladding, relax after a day on the fells with a good book or favourite tipple in the living room or enjoy a family movie night. The built-in kitchen makes preparing your meals a breeze and the dining table seating four ensures you can enjoy each other’s company at the end of the day sharing stories of the day. When the night draws in retreat to your choice of two bedrooms, the master bedroom has a double divan bed, built in wardrobes and dressing table and doors that open up on the side deck, the perfect place to sit with your morning coffee. The second bedroom has two full sized single beds and built-in wardrobe, both bedrooms share use of the house shower room located off hallway with walk in shower cubicle with power shower, vanity unit, toilet and shaving point.
White Cross Bay Holiday Park lies on the shores of Lake Windermere with panoramic views across the Lakes and to the fells beyond, making this location a wonderful choice for your Lakes getaway. The site is home to a host of fabulous facilities to enjoy including an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, and a spa pool, along with a children’s play area and activities, as well as a convenience shop, bar and restaurant and even a Costa Coffee. From the main reception you can hire boats and water sporting equipment so you can get out on the water, with popular activities including paddle-boarding, canoeing, and kayaking. Note: Some facilities on the park are subject to extra cost such as use of the pool, gym, entertainment, bar and restaurant. Head to the fun filled Brockhole Lake District Visitor Centre offering a wide range of activities for all ages from strolling around the pretty gardens, enjoying a sweet treat in the café, walking one of the trails or attempting the Tree Top Trek, there is something for everyone! You are just a few miles from the charming town of Windermere too, bursting with quaint and quirky local shops to browse, along with more traditional pubs and restaurants, while neighbouring Bowness is home to The World of Beatrix Potter Experience. A fabulous spot to start your Lake District family adventure.
The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.
