Oakland West a major part of 'Oakland' one of the first grand gentlemen's residences to be built in Windermere Village when the railway came to town.

Recently renovated the building retains much retains of its original Arts and Crafts feel eclectically mixed with modern design.

There are 6 ensuite bedrooms sleeping 14 guests in total. 4 of the bedrooms have stunning views across Windermere to the Langdales in the distance.

On the ground floor the lounge has super-sized leather chesterfield sofas arraged around a contemporary wide angle wood burning stove and flat screen TV. There is separate TV room we call 'The Library', which seats for 7. The kitchen/dining room is a statement piece, fully paneled, this room is a special place to eat, chill, cook and laugh. At one end the kitchen is fitted with everything you'll need on your break including; 7 ring burner, twin fan oven range cooker, central island unit, 2 sinks, 2 dishwashers and a microwave. There is a separate larder room with 2 American fridge freezers and extra food storage. At the other end is the dining area with large dining table and 14 seats. There is also a large utility room with downstairs toilet and plenty of storage for coats and boots.

Outside to the rear there is a large enclosed garden overlooked by a lovely 'sun trap patio'. This is a very safe space for children. To the front there is another patio, which gets the sun in the morning. There is parking for 6 plus cars and even an electric car charging point.

Oakland West, is a truly magnificent holiday home, which sleeps up to 14 guests in 6 ensuite bedrooms. The house has beautiful views, private gardens and 2 sun trap patios.
