Landower House in Ambleside receives high praise for its ample space, modern amenities, and prime location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, and the property's proximity to local shops and restaurants. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests rebooking for future stays.
Most guests find the property to be clean and well-maintained, though there are a few mentions of areas that could have been cleaner. The feedback suggests that while the standard of cleanliness is generally high, there is room for improvement.
The location is consistently lauded for its convenience, with easy access to Ambleside's centre, shops, pubs, and restaurants, as well as nearby walking routes. The ample parking and serene setting contribute to its near-perfect score.
Guests are very satisfied with the comfort of the property, mentioning the cosy rooms, comfortable beds, and ample seating. The wood burner and outdoor spaces add to the overall comfort. However, some guests suggest that the dining chairs could be improved.
The property boasts high-spec interiors and is well-equipped, particularly the kitchen. Some guests experienced issues with heating controls and non-working towel rails, indicating that while facilities are generally excellent, there is a need for some maintenance.
While guests express gratitude for the welcome gifts and considerate touches like toiletries and a well-stocked kitchen, there are not enough reviews explicitly mentioning gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and not guaranteed.

The layout of the house was perfect for a group of 8. It was furnished to a very high standard, very well equipped and in a great location for walking into Ambleside and getting to other parts of the Lake District. One of the very best houses we have stayed in as a group over 21 years. Thank you.
