Guests say

The Old Coach House in Ambleside is praised for its comfortable accommodation, well-equipped kitchen, and excellent location. Guests enjoy the spacious living areas, stunning views, and the added luxury of a jacuzzi bath. While some minor cleanliness and maintenance issues are noted, the property's charm and amenities make for a delightful stay.

Guests have mentioned that the property could be cleaner, with reports of cobwebs and a general feeling of the property not being freshly cleaned. However, these issues seem to be relatively minor and quickly rectifiable by the guests themselves.

The location is highly praised for being central and convenient, with easy access to Ambleside and local attractions. The private parking is also appreciated, making it an ideal base for exploring the Lake District.

The property is described as comfortable and spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and cosy living areas. Some guests mentioned issues with seating comfort and a damp feeling, but overall, the comfort level is high.

The facilities, including a jacuzzi and well-appointed kitchen, are generally well-received. However, there are some maintenance issues noted, such as a leaking sink and a partially blocked shower drain, which slightly detract from the overall experience.

While some guests missed a welcome pack and mentioned the lack of hand soap, there is not enough information to assess the overall thoughtfulness of the host. Therefore, this score is set to null, and guests should note that welcome gifts are not guaranteed.

The private car parking was a huge plus too, can be tricky to find in the lakes. Kitchen was great, beds were all comfy as was the living room (lots of space in living room too). It looked as though it hadn't been used for a week or two, and had therefore not been cleaned immediately before our stay (lots of obvious cobwebs in more than one room). Couple maintenance issues that need addressing, the upstairs sink was leaking, the downstairs en suite shower drain was partially blocked, and the kitchen lights kept flickering if we turned them up (worked fine when on the lowest setting so not a huge issue). Also I would say one drawback about the layout of the house is the downstairs toilet is very cramped. Still an enjoyable stay overall, have been before and probably would stay again if those maintenance issues were sorted.

Just a slight gripe, the seating in the 2 seater sofa had gone home and some oven gloves would have been nice. Apart from that really lovely and we'll be back. Gary and Marion Mabbott

We did however find the accommodation slightly dirty in places on our arrival, but this was quickly rectified ourselves. Overall, Ideal location, easy parking and all mod cons
