Guests have found the Pearsall cottage in Ambleside to be a delightful retreat with stunning views of Lake Windermere. Its peaceful location, coupled with the convenience of the nearby ferry, has been appreciated by many. The property is praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and modern amenities, although some minor maintenance issues were noted. The welcome hamper added a touch of thoughtfulness to the experience.
The majority of guests reported the property as clean and well-presented. However, a few mentioned specific cleanliness issues such as a dirty bath, handrail, and fridge, which slightly lowers the score.
The location is highly praised for its stunning views and tranquility, with the added benefit of being close to the ferry for easy access to local attractions. The peaceful setting and proximity to nature trails contribute to a high score.
Guests found the cottage comfortable, particularly noting the quality of the bed and the homely feel. Some suggested improvements for better sleep comfort, such as lighter duvets and blinds to block out light, but overall the comfort level is rated highly.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-appointed kitchen and comfortable furnishings. Some guests encountered issues with high-tech appliances and suggested additional facilities like a downstairs toilet or shower mat. Maintenance issues like a dripping towel rail and shower temperature control were also mentioned.
While guests appreciated the welcome hamper, there is not enough information to determine if such gestures are consistent or to assess the overall thoughtfulness of the host. Therefore, this score is set to null.

The view is incredible and the balcony perfect for catching the illusive Lake District sunshine! I could imagine in summer driving to the property could be tricky with people queuing for the ferry but we actually didnât use the car once as there was so much to do from the doorstep. Hilltop, Wray Castle, Blackwell House, Latterbarrow then on bus or boat, Ambleside, Tarn Hows and Hawkshead. The property is clean and well cared for but minimal in kitchen/extra equipment. We had a dry week but an airer might be helpful to dry out wet kit if it rains/you do washing. We will definitely return for a holiday here again as we loved it so much!

Amazing views and easy access to windermere via the ferry on the doorstep. One disappointing thing was there was a used sanitary towel still in the bathroom bin which is quite unhygienic.

Very much hope to return there!
