River Falls View in Ambleside is a well-regarded apartment with stunning views and a relaxing ambiance, thanks to its proximity to the falls. Guests appreciate the comfortable furnishings, luxurious bathrooms, and the wrap-around balcony. The property's location is ideal for exploring the Lake District, and the apartment is noted for its cleanliness and well-equipped kitchen.
The majority of guests found the apartment to be clean and well-maintained, with high standards of cleanliness. However, a few guests mentioned issues with cleanliness, such as dust and a damp smell in one of the rooms, which slightly lowers the score.
The location is highly praised for its beautiful views over the falls and its proximity to Ambleside, making it an excellent base for exploring the Lake District. The sound of the river adds to the tranquil experience, although the steep climb back from town is noted.
Guests generally find the apartment comfortable, with luxurious touches and well-equipped rooms. However, some guests mentioned issues with bed comfort and the temperature in the lower bedroom, which affects the overall comfort score.
The apartment is well-equipped with modern kitchens and bathrooms, and guests appreciate the covered parking. Criticisms include the Sky TV service being non-functional, lack of coat hooks, and suggestions for better outdoor seating. These maintenance issues have led to a slightly lower score.

A short walk from River Falls View will take you to Waterhead on the northern shore of Lake Windermere where you can hop aboard a cruise to explore Bowness and beyond. Nestled in peaceful woodland, River Falls View is the perfect Lakeland hideaway for families wishing to explore Ambleside and the surrounding Lake District region.
Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
