With stops along the way, you can visit the Aira Force Waterfall, Howtown and the lakeside village of Pooley Bridge, where you'll find plenty of welcoming pubs and restaurants. Windermere is only 12 miles away, and here you can go paddleboarding, kayaking or hire a boat. Alternatively, discover Dalemain Mansion and Historic Gardens (11 miles), famous for its marmalade and located within a UNESCO World Heritage site.
