Park View is a well-received holiday rental in Windermere, praised for its cleanliness, prime location, and thoughtful touches like welcome gifts. Guests appreciate its proximity to local amenities and pet-friendly policy. While the flat is cosy and well-equipped, some guests note the bedroom is snug and suggest improvements to the bed and storage. The property's warmth and modern facilities are highlights, despite occasional comments on noise from above and the need for more natural light.
Guests consistently describe the property as very clean and well-presented, indicating high standards of cleanliness throughout their stays.
The property's location is highly praised for being central and within easy walking distance to Bowness, local shops, pubs, and the lake, making it an ideal base for exploring.
The property is generally found to be comfortable and cosy. However, some guests find the bed hard and the bedroom area small and claustrophobic, which affects the comfort score.
Facilities are well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and modern amenities. Criticisms include a lack of natural light, limited bedroom storage, and a desire for more hooks and a clothes airer, suggesting room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.
The provision of welcome gifts such as wine, cake, and chocolates is frequently mentioned and appreciated by guests, reflecting the owners' thoughtfulness. However, it is politely noted that such gestures are not guaranteed for every stay.

Patio doors at the front of the property lead to a small gravelled garden with furniture, ideal for sitting out and enjoying the late evening sunshine. A short stroll from the cottage leads to the Windermere Marina Village and lakeside, where a ferry takes passengers and cars across Windermere to explore Hawkshead and the beautiful Grizedale Forest Park. Providing a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, the twin towns of Bowness and Windermere have an enduring appeal for many visitors to the Lake District. Boat trips are available from vibrant Bowness to Ambleside, as well as to the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Nearby is Grizedale Forest Park which offers good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure playground, whilst for those who aren't keen on 'monkeying around' the National Trust care for a number of properties in the area. There are also a variety of water sports available across the many beaches. The small things made a difference to the holiday i.e the heater in the bathroom, a shower caddy for storing toiletries, the welcome pack, tea, salt and vinegar etc. Thank you we had an amazing week.
