Come morning, head into Troutbeck to stock up on the essentials, before travelling towards the likes of Windermere and Ambleside, both prime locations within the Lake District National Park. Enjoy scenic strolls alongside Stock Ghyll Force waterfall, aim to climb up Wansfell Pike, and visit Brockhole on Windermere for an afternoon of archery and golf, before reaching Wray Castle for a guided tour. Near to the Kirkstone Pass, the sleepy Lakeland community of Troutbeck may be located between its more well-known neighbours Windermere and Ambleside. The settlement, which is made up of a variety of homes, cottages, and farms, is dispersed along a curvy road that is enclosed by a drystone wall. Most of these structures are from the 17th century and have characteristics like mullioned windows and large cylindrical chimneys. The northern end also has a 17th-century inn. The thriving towns of Windermere and Ambleside nearby are well-liked by tourists and offer a variety of amenities to suit all preferences.
