I contacted sykes and this was eventually rectified as the cleaners were called back out. (Special mention to sam in customer service he was excellent and kept me fully informed throughout the process) This was put down to miscommunication as the cleaners were not aware the property needed cleaning. I can fully accept that these kind of errors happen in all industries and were it an isolated incident I wouldn't even mention it. However we stayed at the same property 18 months ago and when we arrived at 4pm we had to sit outside in the cars for a good hour as the cleaners had only just turned up. I did mention this in my review at the time but it does seem that no improvements have been made. The actual standards of cleanliness in the apartment also leave a lot to be desired and I don't think a full deep clean has been carried out for some time. We are in no way fussy as we have a dog with us and we accept that in dog friendly properties the standards might not always be as high. Having said all that the property is very comfortable and spacious and is in a great location. However I definitely would not choose to book this property again as having the same issue twice in the space of 18 months isn't just down to bad luck.

House is ideally situated. Chairs in lounge need replaced.Sink in upstairs bathroom is very slow to drain.Headboard in downstairs bedroom needs replaced or fixed.Feel the owners are being ripped off with cleaning , dust on skirtings and round top of lampshades. These are just little things but when your paying a lot of money they do matter. We were out most of the time.
