Settled within the popular White Cross Bay Holiday Park on the outskirts of Windermere, Cumbria, is this comfortable three-bedroom lodge, Lord Landless. Enjoying a fantastic location within the Lake District National Park, and access to a wealth of on-site facilities including The Boathouse Bar & Restaurant, heated indoor pool, multi-sports court, sauna and steam room, convenience store and laundrette, Lord Landless is a fabulous pet-friendly choice for a group or family of five. The property further benefits from off-road parking and its own private decked area with furniture and luxury bubbling hot tub, perfect for indulgent soaks under the stars. Inside, you will find an inviting open-plan living area with well-equipped kitchen for rustling up your favourite meals, ready to savour at the dining table over a bottle of wine, before relaxing on the plush sofas in front of a much-loved film on the Smart TV, as the electric fire adds a gentle warmth to the space. Continue through to find a sleek shower room where you can freshen up after a day of adventure, along with three beautifully presented bedrooms, a double, a 2’6 twin and a single, where you can catch up on some well-deserved rest. If you can tear yourself away, head into Windermere, where you can try your hand at a plethora of watersports on the famous lake, delve into history at the Windermere Jetty Museum, explore the delights of The Word of Beatrix Potter Attraction, soak up the views from Queen Adelaide’s Hill, sample fresh seafood at Hooked and tasty Italian cuisine at San Pietro. Next stop is Ambleside, where you will find the attractions of Ambleside Roman Fort, the stunning Stock Ghyll Force, the Armitt Library and Museum Centre, or continue onto Rydal, where you can hike through the breath-taking surroundings of Rydal Cave or tour the beautiful Rydal Mount and Gardens. Further afield, you can visit Kendal, home to Kendal Castle, Quaker Tapestry Museum, the excellent Kendal Golf Club, and Kendal Museum. All this and more awaits at Lord Landless.
The Lake District is home to the lively and entertaining towns of Bowness and Windermere. Ambleside, with its boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium, and Beatrix Potter's "Hill Top House" near Sawrey, offers even more attractions than the other town, but both offer a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and other amenities to suit every taste. Grizedale Forest Park is conveniently located not far from the city, and it offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities. There are many National Trust estates in the area, and those looking for a more action-packed vacation will find a wide range of water activities available. It's convenient to get to Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick, and the Lakeland Mountains, and kids will love visiting the "World of Beatrix Potter" in Bowness.
