Guests say

Pheasants Folly in Windermere is highly praised for its stunning views, cleanliness, and spacious, well-equipped interiors. Guests have enjoyed the comfortable beds, the games room, and the property's modern amenities. The location is ideal for exploring the Lake District, and the house provides a cosy and welcoming atmosphere for family gatherings and relaxing holidays.

Guests consistently noted the property as very clean, with multiple reviews highlighting its cleanliness. The high standard of cleanliness contributed positively to the overall experience.

The location is frequently described as excellent, with beautiful views and proximity to local attractions. The scenic surroundings and easy access to Windermere town and nature spots are appreciated.

Comfort is a strong point, with numerous mentions of comfortable beds and seating areas. The house's spaciousness and cosy living room add to the comfort level, although one mention of a leaking shower slightly impacts the score.

Facilities like the pool table and well-equipped kitchen are well-received. However, there are some concerns about maintenance issues such as broken glass in the summer house and a small dishwasher. The lack of bin collection as stated also suggests room for improvement.

While the reviews reflect a positive experience, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

The property is beautiful and the views absolutely stunning. We saw daily changes in the view over lake Windermere from snow to mist and glorious sunshine. Fully equipped kitchen -even an electric whisk- we were able to bake ready for the Bake Off final. Some wood was available so we were able to light the fire on the snowy day and watch a Christmas movie. Games room is lovely with spectacular views and wildlife. We even saw a wood pecker. Easy reach to a wonderful spa, a nature reserve, lake side walks and Windermere town. Gilpin restaurant and lakeside was very close by too for afternoon tea. We all really enjoyed our stay. 3 generations together and we all felt very comfortable. Thank you! X

Size of property great for a family trip away and the views are spectacular. Comfy beds and so much space for us all. Feedback would be that the summer house needs repairing asap as there were broken panes of glass lying around which was not good with small child and dog. Also dishwasher is extremely small given size of property! Bin collection didn’t happen as stated and only one bin outside. But overall a lovely stay and would recommend.
