Guests say

The Willows in Windermere receives high praise for its location, comfort, and cleanliness. Guests appreciate the spaciousness, tasteful furnishings, and entertainment options such as the cinema room, pool table, and hot tub. While parking can be challenging, the property's proximity to local amenities is a plus. Some minor maintenance issues and a need for better kitchen equipment are noted, but overall, guests are delighted and many plan to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property is consistently described as very clean, with only a few minor comments about drain smells and a slug in the kitchen. The high standard of cleanliness contributes positively to the guests' experiences.

The central location in Windermere is highly appreciated for its convenience to bars, restaurants, and shops, as well as its suitability for exploring the Lake District. Despite some comments about noise, the location is generally seen as a major advantage.

Guests find the property comfortable, with special mentions of the comfortable beds and the warmth of the house. Some concerns about a cold bedroom and the practicality of one en-suite slightly affect the score.

The facilities, including a cinema room, hot tub, and pool table, are well-received. However, there are several remarks about inadequate kitchen equipment, slow ovens, and maintenance issues like light bulbs and door bolts, which suggest room for improvement.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that could be attributed to thoughtfulness from the owners. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Great location and really comfy beds. However we were extremely disappointed at the lack of supplies at the house. We paid around £2000 for 2 nights and you didn’t even supply some tea and coffee. Salt and pepper grinder provided but not filled. You requested for the place to be returned clean and tidy bit with no cloths or paper towels or cleaning products. Watered down fairy liquid at the sink. For such a short term let and for the amount we spent I do not think that this is our responsibility to bring and would expect this as a minimum. I have never rented/ stayed in a holiday let that hasn’t provided some basic things. There was also no baking trays for the oven. These basics would have made the stay for my 30th pretty perfect. Also check out at 10am with a clean and tidy for a house of 10 I think is pretty early!

The only negatives are: 1) In one of the ensuites on the first floor, it is not advisable to use the shower as this would wet the toilet and basin causing an unpleasant experience. We used this ensuite for it's basin and toilet. 2) Kitchen dining table and benches not comfortable for 10 people. We had to stagger our dining times as there were 10 of us (7 adults; 3 children) 3) Limited street parking. It is a cut through road and being close to town, many look to park on this road.

Parking was something of an issue and finding a space was difficult. Perhaps including some essentials such as salt, cling film, foil and tea towels in the kitchen would be helpful. Overall, a very pleasant stay.
