Guests say

Guests appreciate 'The Wodge' for its spaciousness, comfortable reclining sofas, and prompt customer service. The lodge's location in Windermere is praised for its proximity to attractions, despite some concerns about on-site Wi-Fi and mobile data connectivity. The property's setting is generally seen as peaceful, with a pub and singer adding to the enjoyment.

The lodge received mixed feedback on cleanliness. While some guests found it spotless, others noted issues with dirty carpets, a greasy oven, and unclean outdoor areas. The presence of litter from previous visitors was also mentioned.

The location is highly regarded for its closeness to Windermere and various attractions. The natural setting is appreciated, although limited mobile data coverage and Wi-Fi connectivity were points of contention for some visitors.

Guests enjoyed the comfortable reclining sofas and beds, but some found the pillows uncomfortable. The lodge's spaciousness was a plus, although there were comments about the adequacy of kitchenware for the number of guests.

Facilities were seen as adequate but with room for improvement. Issues with the TV, oven, and leaks were reported. The on-site swimming pool was not always available, and the restaurant's service and stock levels were criticised.

While guests appreciated the inclusion of items like tea bags, washing up liquid, and towels, there were no specific mentions of gifts. Therefore, it cannot be determined if thoughtfulness in the form of gifts is a consistent feature of the property.

The location is perfect for access to the water and the facilities including the restaurant and bar area. The Wodge is a great size for a family and has all the mod cons that you need to enjoy your stay. There is a general comment across all cabins regarding Wifi and internet access. We simply went to the main buildings where the bar is and used the internet there. It was actually refreshing as a parent to not have children glued to their screens the whole time. Beds were comfortable and overall there would not be much I think could be improved on. We had a great time and will be looking at dates for next summer soon.
