About this property

Located in the heart of the peaceful coastal village of Weybourne, Summer Barn is a fabulous luxury, single storey barn conversion. With a great pub one-minute walk away, and a super, very well-equipped village shop also nearby, this hideaway is wonderfully situated just a 5-minute walk from the North Norfolk coast.

With parts of the building dating back to the Victorian era, this traditional brick and flint barn has been converted to very high modern standards, without losing any of its character as beams and feature flint walls have been retained. The overall impression on entering the barn is one of comfort and relaxed easy living. There is a lovely light open-plan vaulted living area, with skylights and full height bi-fold doors and windows that overlook the south facing garden, running the full length of the room. The sitting area has a wood burning stove to light for extra warmth and ambience, although with underfloor heating in this area and great insulation, you should already be nice and cosy. There are three bedrooms (king size, double and super king zip-and-link, with twin option) and three very smart bathrooms (two are en-suite), making this the perfect holiday home for couples and friends to enjoy time together. Summer Barn will suit families too, especially with older children.

Weybourne is a great little spot as a base for getting out and about exploring this part of North Norfolk, either on foot (there are some fabulous walks to explore from outside the door, both inland and coastal), by catching the Coasthopper bus service that runs through the village or by car. The Georgian town of Holt is just three miles up the road, where you will find boutiques, galleries and a variety of places to eat. Sheringham, the next coastal resort along the coast, is a bustling traditional seaside town where fisherman still bring in their daily catch. You will find plenty of facilities, including many interesting shops, a museum, pubs, restaurants and tea rooms, as well as a supermarket and filling station. If you fancy a day trip to Norwich, you can catch a train from Sheringham town centre.

Additional Information:

Two well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge)

Feather duvets, hypoallergenic pillows.

There is no starter pack (tea, coffee, sugar and milk) or welcome hamper provided at this property.

Summer Barn is a perfect place to spend time with family and friends. The thoughtful design and homely feel make it a very difficult place to leave. 3 nice bedrooms, comfortable beds, 3 bathrooms - always handy with a group - a well-stocked kitchen, massive fridge and a double oven make all help to make it feel like home from the minute you walk in. There is a nice pub less than 5 minutes from the property, The Ship Inn. The food is good, the staff are attentive, and the prices are reasonable. There is a great walk from Weybourne Beach over to Sheringham where the North Norfolk Railway (the Poppy Line) runs via Weybourne to Holt (Holt is lovely and definitely worth a visit). If you are looking for some rest and relaxation, Summer Barn should be on your list.

Summer Barn is lovely, clean and bright. Kitchen is well appointed- perhaps too much, no room for food in the cupboards! Bathrooms are well kept and bedrooms have nice linen. I would recommend this property.

Summer Barn is in a lovely village with a beach, delicatessen, pub and restaurant all in easy walking distance. The barn is in a pretty courtyard and the cottage itself is very well equipped. There are lots of places for great days out and our grandson particularly enjoyed his day out on the steam trains and in the maze at nearby Sheringham. The beach at Wells next the Sea is one of the loveliest I've seen and all in all I think this is one of the best places we've ever been for an early autumn holiday.
