Surrounding this busy town is excellent walking country, including both high open moorland and pretty wooded valleys, and the town itself has a wide variety of shops, pubs, and places to eat. High Force, Gibson's Cave, and Cauldron Snout are some of the most impressive waterfalls in the area, and Barnard Castle, a bustling market town not far away, has everything you could need.

My family and I had a lovely stay at Low Thearns thank you Sally-Ann you were very welcoming the cottage has been beautifully designed beds very comfy lovely shower and lots of towels little things go a long way to making a holiday home from home and Low Thearns certainly gave us that we would love to return and explore more of area there's certainly lots to see and do Lorraine 9th August 2024
