The Print Shop in Barnard Castle receives high praise for its cleanliness, prime location, and cosy comfort. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities and the thoughtful touches provided by the hosts. Its proximity to local amenities and attractions makes it an ideal base for exploring the area.
Guests consistently mention the property's cleanliness, describing it as 'spotless' and 'very clean'. The attention to cleanliness contributes significantly to the positive experience.
The cottage's location is frequently highlighted as ideal, being quiet yet within a stone's throw of the town centre, shops, and attractions, making it a perfect spot for guests.
Reviews often refer to the property as cosy and comfortable, with a well-utilised space. The only minor drawback mentioned is the bedroom size, but this does not significantly detract from the overall comfort.
The property is praised for its good fixtures, well-equipped nature, and thoughtful layout. A quick response to a maintenance issue indicates good upkeep. However, the score is slightly lowered due to the single incident reported.
Guests feel well-cared for with the provision of amenities and the availability of the host if needed. While gifts like tea and coffee are mentioned, it is noted that such offerings are a kind gesture and not guaranteed.

For a romantic retreat with lots of history, choose The Print Shop.
Barnard Castle is a market town in County Durham, set amid the unspoiled scenery of Teesdale. It is built on the site of an ancient Roman fort that had stood on the other side of the river. The castle's ancient remnants still rise over the river and are well worth seeing. Residents and visitors alike refer to the town as 'Barney,' because of its cobblestone streets, yards, and back roads, which were first set up in the 12th century. The neighbouring Bowes Museum is definitely worth a visit and a great way to spend a day roaming about this lovely building and taking in the fascinating exhibits.

Comfy bed and good shower. The living area was light and generally good. The only issue I had was that, having booked a dog free property due to my allergies, the cushions on sofa had feathers which I am allergic to, so had to put these in the downstairs cupboard for the duration.

Bedroom on the small side and you had to mind your head!!
