Romaldkirk is a small village nestling in the heart of Teesdale. The village has a large village green, a small hotel, an Inn and a magnificent church known as the Cathedral of the Dale. Teesdale is an area of outstanding natural beauty and High Force, the largest waterfall in England, is just one of the many beauty spots along the River Tees. Walking is just one of the activities you can enjoy in Teesdale. There are a wealth of footpaths, some following the river, across the moors and through the woods. In fact there is something for everyone. Golf, Pony Trekking, swimming, cycling and fishing can all be enjoyed within a 6 mile radius of Romaldkirk. Teesdale is also a very central area from which you can visit Durham, The Lake District, Darlington, Alston, the Beamish Museum and Hadrians Wall - all within an hours drive. The list of places to visit and things to do are endless. Very comfortably furnished and well equipped this cottage has been fully modernised whilst capturing much of the original character with flagged floors, exposed beams and open fire.
