Explore nearby historic Tynemouth Castle and Priory (3 miles), enjoy fabulous views from the pier, the weekend market, and more bars and restaurants. Cross the causeway to St. Mary s Island (3 miles) for a tour of the lighthouse and look out for resting seals. North Shields famous fish market and restaurant area is a must for seafood via a wonderful walk from the Collingwood Monument, or you can spot dolphins at the mouth of the Tyne. Store your outdoor clothing and shoes in the hallway cupboard and head into the bright spacious kitchen/diner with lovely sea views to the front and access to the rear garden through the French doors. There s a captain s swivel chair here as well so sit back and take in the views or perhaps use the binoculars to do a bit of bird watching, before re joining the group to listen to some music or watch the Smart TV. There is one double bedroom on this floor with open hanging space and a chest of drawers for your clothing and the family bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC. There are three more bedrooms on the second floor: one with a double bed, wardrobe, sea views and en suite shower and WC; the other double bedroom has dual aspect windows offering amazing sea views and a chest of drawers, and the fourth bedroom overlooks the garden and has a double bed. There is a bistro table and two chairs on the front patio where you can sit and watch the runners and cyclists go by while you sip your morning coffee.
