Guests say

Old Farm is a well-received cottage in Northumberland, praised for its deceptively large size, warm bathroom floors, and well-equipped nature. Guests appreciate the welcome package and the property's suitability for family gatherings. The location is ideal for exploring Bamburgh and the surrounding area, and the cottage's comfort and modern amenities are consistently noted. While some cleanliness issues were mentioned, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Most guests found the cottage to be clean and well-presented, with only a few remarks about dust and cleanliness in specific areas. The majority of feedback suggests a satisfactory level of cleanliness, but there is room for improvement.

The cottage's location is frequently praised for its convenience to Bamburgh, Holy Island, and Alnwick, making it an excellent base for exploring the area. The only minor drawback mentioned is the lack of a footpath or cycle path to a local pub.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as comfortable, well-furnished, and suitable for large groups and families. The warm bathroom floors and spacious dining area contribute to the overall comfort of the property.

The property is well-equipped according to guests, with a special mention of a welcome pack. However, some guests noted the absence of a washer/dryer and the small size of ice cubes from the freezer, indicating that while facilities are generally good, there are areas that could be enhanced.

The welcome package and information pack are appreciated by guests, indicating thoughtfulness from the owners. However, as gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, guests should be aware that these are a pleasant addition when provided.

Comfortable property with good amenities and excellent layout for a family group. We really enjoyed our week long stay. The nearby villages provide good farm shops, pubs and a supermarket by car. The location allows for easy access to the A1 for connectivity to most of the surrounding Northumberland area by car. Hiking directly from the property involves a reasonable degree of road walking but is achievable to experience the stunning views Northumberland has to offer.

Fantastic cottage and very well equipped. Nice and spacious in particular the dining area, the cottage overall is deceptively larger than expected! Some lovely touches such as a welcome pack and a great information pack written by the owners so you have plenty of ideas as to where to visit which was really useful. We had a lovely week there, there were a few minor points such as cleanliness which was acceptable but does need some attention. We would most definitely return and thank you to the owners for sharing such a great place!

This cottage feels like a home rather than most holiday lets that I have stayed in. The welcome packs and the information pack are very well put together and useful. The house is well equipped and as a group of adults we had plenty of space for the group to be together for dinner etc. The only negative is that parking at the property is very tight and, I suspect, could be problematic when all properties are full.
