Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.

Yet again we werenât disappointed. The kitchen is very well equipped, including dishwasher tablets, cleaning products etc which you donât always get in a rental. All areas are of the flat are very clean, tidy and very comfortable. Positioned very near the beach, pubs and restaurants of Alnmouth. A lovely weekend break - pity we couldnât have stayed longer. We will be back very soon. Thank you

We decamped to the small bedroom but the bed was too small for my husband.As a result we slept in separate rooms.The mattresses (which I gather are relatively new) were not very comfortable- perhaps a mattress topper would help.Sleep is very important so we would not return to Alnbank. Itâs the first holiday cottage we've stayed in where there wasnât a pint of milk in the fridge.Iâm not concerned about a welcome pack but that would be helpful. I hope these are seen as constructive comments as we really enjoyed Alnmouth. Rosy and Mike Bishop

Steve definitely went over and above the call of duty. Helping two oldies to get the tv up and running! Technology definitely fails us! After trying to help over the phone he took a 35 minute drive on a Saturday when traffic would be busy to our apartment to solve the problem which I am certain was not the tv but us! He could not have been more helpful. Added to that the apartment is all you could ask for and more. Thank you so very much Steve for your patience and understanding. Linda and Roger
