Within easy waking distance you will find all the amenities of the town at your fingertips. This includes both independent shops, greengrocers, a great butchers and some gorgeous gift shops. As well as a good selection of pubs, restaurants and cafes.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is a nice, cosy town with places to eat and shop. The welcoming basket was very much appreciated. The bedrooms were comfortable and had lots of space. Plenty of things to do in the area and inside. Overall, a lovely trip!

What can you say when something is so good. I am so pleased we picked The Puffin’s Burrow to stay at, on arrival the welcome hamper was so nice. The place was lovely and warm. Great place to stay to visit surrounding areas. We did a boat trip to The Farne Islands which was so good but do wrap up as its cold out there. Thank you to the owner and agents.

So glad we discovered The Puffin’s Burrow to use as a base for our stay in Northumberland. Lovely and clean with a nice warm welcome. Everything we needed was provided! Alnwick is such a lovely base with the wonderful Castle and Gardens, everything is within walking distance. Bamburgh is a favourite of ours!
