Church View in Bamburgh is praised for its excellent location, comfortable bedding, and overall cleanliness. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen and the property's proximity to local attractions. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the property's charm and amenities generally leave a positive impression.
The property is generally found to be clean, with clean bedding and towels noted. However, some reviews mention the need for a deeper clean in certain areas, and issues with mould and bathroom cleanliness have been raised, slightly lowering the score.
The location is highly praised for being close to Bamburgh Castle, local pubs, and the beach, making it an ideal spot for visitors looking to explore the area.
Guests find the beds comfortable, especially in the main bedroom, and the property cosy. Some guests, however, mention issues with a lumpy mattress and uncomfortable sofas, which affects the score.
The kitchen is well-received, but several reviews cite problems with the shower pressure, Wi-Fi connectivity, and heating. Maintenance issues like leaks and electrical faults are also mentioned, indicating room for improvement.
While some guests mention a lack of a welcome pack and the absence of basic provisions upon arrival, there is not enough consistent information about thoughtful touches or gifts to accurately score this category.

The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.

We had everything we needed and more for our stay. Perfectly located in the centre of the village with plenty of on street free parking opposite the property. Would highly recommend.

I appreciated being able to bring my dog and not being charged for him. It offered everything we needed. I had the single bed which had noisy springs and wasn't the best, but I slept so not complaining. We would go back if we had the chance. It had the best location for touring Northumbria. Thank you
