This stylish detached cottage is based on the owner's grounds just outside of Morpeth in Northumberland. This homely bungalow comes in a wonderfully secluded spot, perfect for a relaxing couples' break. Enter the Cottage at Longridge and be welcomed into the slate floored hallway, there is a sublime shower room immediately on your left. On the other side of the hallway sits a sumptuous king size bedroom with classy bed linen and a wall-mounted TV. The open plan living room is excellently decorated with a high sloping ceiling with wooden beams and a fantastic feature brick wall. There is comfortable, contemporary seating with a TV and an electric fire, the kitchen area has sublime fixtures and fittings and all of the appliances that you will need. The Cottage at Longridge also comes with bi-folding doors into a fantastic conservatory with dining furniture and a double sofabed for extra optional sleeping should you want friends over. You are welcome to make the most of the owners' lawn area, a well-kept garden and picnic table. Morpeth is a short drive away, offering a castle, parks, walks as well as a great range of shopping, eating and drinking facilities. The thriving city of Newcastle is within easy driving distance, as well as the delightful town of Alnwick being worth a visit. The Cottage at Longridge is a high quality cottage in a great location.
Morpeth is a beautiful little market town and is well placed to reach the countryside or the coast from its central location in the heart of Northumberland. The town has plenty to offer such as the ruins of a historic castle, parks, churches and an old chantry that houses a bagpipe museum. Further afield to the south lies the bustling city of Newcastle upon Tyne and northwards is the historic town of Alnwick with its castle and gardens, whilst over to the East, Druridge Bay has miles of glorious golden sands to be enjoyed by the whole family. Close by is the National Trust property of Wallington Hall and all around Morpeth there is good walking country with access to the Cheviot and the Simonside Hills, making this an ideal base for a holiday.
