Reiver's Rest is a well-received cottage in Northumberland, praised for its comfortable beds, stunning location, and historical charm. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, such as fresh flowers and a well-stocked kitchen, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. The location is highly praised for its beauty and tranquility, with easy access to walks and local amenities. Its proximity to Bellingham and being set in a Dark Sky area add to its appeal.
Guests find the cottage cosy and the beds extremely comfortable. The presence of a log fire adds to the comfort, although some guests mention the property can be cold and the bathroom facilities are somewhat limited for larger groups.
The facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge area. However, some guests have noted issues with the cooker and BBQ, and the single bathroom can be a challenge for larger parties. The mention of a steep staircase and limited Wi-Fi connectivity also suggest room for improvement.
Many guests mention thoughtful gestures such as flowers, cake, and a well-stocked kitchen upon arrival. While these gifts are warmly appreciated, it is noted that such personal touches may vary and are not guaranteed with every stay.

It is a very comfortable cottage in beautiful surroundings. We wanted somewhere quiet with no fireworks, for my terrified dog, so it was perfect. Had beautiful walks on the estate, and also in Bellingham and around Keilder. Liked it so much, we have already booked for next year.

Kitchen has everything provided except a dishcloth, could have been an oversight. It is however cold, take plenty of warm clothing. There are a couple of throws provided in the sitting room. We were looking forward to lighting the log fire, but unfortunately there was so much smoke we couldnât use it again.

It is cosy and set in some lovely grounds, providing access to lots of walks, so the car stayed put for most of the week. The whole house is roomy and very comfortable. We were made to feel welcome and have no wish to stay anywhere else for the next trip to relax and unwind. Thank you to all involved.
