Guests generally appreciate the lodge's scenic location, comfortable amenities, and the thoughtful touches provided by the hosts. The surrounding wildlife and views are frequently praised, and the lodge serves as a good base for exploring Northumberland. While most experiences are positive, some guests mention issues with cleanliness and maintenance that could be improved.
Reviews on cleanliness are mixed. Some guests found the lodge clean and well-kept, while others reported issues with kitchen cleanliness, sticky surfaces, and dog hair on furniture. The presence of both positive and negative comments suggests room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for its tranquility, beautiful views, and proximity to local attractions. Guests enjoy the wildlife and the peaceful setting, making it a highlight of their stay.
The lodge is often described as cosy and well-equipped, providing a comfortable stay. However, some guests mention uncomfortable mattresses and sofas, indicating that while comfort is generally good, there is some inconsistency.
Facilities are generally well-received with the lodge being well-equipped. Nonetheless, there are mentions of maintenance issues such as a beeping smoke alarm, flickering lights, and a need for redecoration. These comments suggest that while facilities are adequate, attention to certain details is required.
Many guests express gratitude for the welcome packs and extra touches, which add to the enjoyment of their stay. It is important to note that such gestures are appreciated but may vary and are not guaranteed for every stay.

I found that all the consumables I took with me were already provided. Stayed in a different cabin last year but prefer Glanton for its location with open views of the surrounding countryside. Would be handy to have a map or guide to save searching for the cabin, particularly when arriving after dark.

All the little items which make a holiday let into a home were available. Very dog friendly with throws on furniture, dog bowls and mat made things comfortable for pets also. Welcome pack items were lovely and we followed up with extra scones through the week. Brilliant open views, easy access to public footpath over open fields for dog exercise and a central location for NT properties and Coastal Villages.

The little details from the owner were fantastic. It was clean and we felt we were welcome in the cabin even though we didnât see anybody (which is perfect for us!). We were very comfortable, slept like logs on the very comfy bed. In a word it was marvellous. I would highly recommend.
