Jamaal Lodge is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its spaciousness, comfort, and well-equipped kitchen. Its proximity to Druridge Bay and local amenities makes it an ideal base for exploring Northumberland. Guests appreciate the secure garden for dogs and the thoughtful touches provided. While some maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
The lodge is generally regarded as clean, with only a few isolated incidents of flies and a suggestion that windows needed cleaning. The majority of guests found the property to be very clean, contributing to a high cleanliness score.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to beaches, nature reserves, and towns, making it an excellent base for exploring Northumberland. Despite some remarks about its setting in a housing estate, the quietness and convenience of the location are appreciated.
Comfort is well-regarded with mentions of comfy beds and a well-equipped kitchen. However, there are comments about a sunken sofa and a lumpy mattress, which slightly lower the score.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and secure garden. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as the need for a lick of paint, TV reception problems, and heating issues, which affect the score.
While there are mentions of welcome gestures such as wine and biscuits, there are not enough instances to accurately assess the consistency of thoughtfulness across all stays. Therefore, the score is set to null, and guests should note that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.
Amble 3 miles. A fabulous, detached wooden lodge located in the quiet hamlet of South Broomhill, on the rural outskirts of Amble, 4 miles from Warkworth. As previously, a real home from home, with all the comforts you would expect. Perfect location for exploring Northumberland. (The only very slight negative is that my mum found the double mattress in the downstairs bedroom lumpy and uncomfortable this time around-18 months after our last stay).

Loved the layout, it had everything you needed. The garden is enclosed which was good for the dogs. We seemed to have been lucky with the weather too. Really good location of the lodge as it was walking distance to Druridge bay, which we visited everyday to give the dogs a good walk. Local chippy was nice and friendly lovely pizza. Went out for some food at the Amble inn which the fish wasnât the best, the batter was really crispy and dark, it was like it had been lying under the heat for to long. I would definitely recommend the lodge though and go back myself.

It was v comfortable, v clean and had a lovely layout. Ideally placed to visit the beach and only a short drive to Newcastle. Fantastic.
