Orchard Lodge is praised for its well-equipped amenities, comfortable beds, and beautiful gardens. The property offers a peaceful setting with easy access to local attractions and the coastline. Guests appreciate the attentive owners and the lodge's spaciousness, though some noted issues with maintenance and cleanliness.
Most guests found the lodge clean and well-kept, though there were isolated comments about the standard of cleanliness not meeting expectations, including a mention of a 'sticky' table and unclean glasses and cutlery upon arrival.
The lodge is commended for its peaceful surroundings and proximity to attractions and the coastline. However, one review mentioned that the sea view was not as prominent as expected and that driving was necessary to reach places.
Guests generally found the lodge comfortable, with airy living spaces and well-kept grounds. However, there were remarks about uncomfortable mattresses and a sofa that 'just sank,' suggesting room for improvement in this area.
The property is well-equipped, but several reviews cited issues with appliances such as a non-heating tumble dryer and a malfunctioning dishwasher. The need for maintenance and replacement of some items was noted.
