Set in the very heart of Morpeth, a small, pretty, historic market town with a fabulous selection of cafés, restaurants and pubs on your doorstep. With your own parking area, it is perfect to have an evening out, visit some of the bespoke shops or meander along the pretty riverside without having to use the car. Morpeth is a lively town with some excellent eateries and a weekly market held in the market square. The Chantry houses tourist information and unique craft stalls, whilst boats can be hired to row along the pretty river which runs through the town.
It is only a short drive to the Heritage Coast, where miles of golden beaches and friendly villages appeal to all ages. Stop off at Craster for their famous kippers, drop into Bamburgh Castle or carry on a little further to Holy Island. The nearby train station is perfect to take you to Newcastle upon Tyne, Durham, Edinburgh or York should you wish to explore further. All of these fantastic cities are worth a visit whilst staying in Northumberland. This is a fantastic, central location to explore the many delights of what is reputedly the friendliest county in England. There is easy road access for Alnwick Castle, 20 miles, Hadrian’s Wall (Vindoland 37 miles), Kielder Water, 45 miles, and the Northumberland National Park. Beach 8 miles. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
