The intimate dining area is all set up ready for long, lazy meals together and an archway leads into the comfy bedroom where you can sink into the sumptuous bed and look forward to a relaxing night’s sleep. In the morning, step into the contemporary bathroom and have a rejuvenating shower before heading out for the day. Seahouses is a delightful fishing village and harbour located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty so you are guaranteed a whole host of beautiful walks and hikes rewarded by some stunning views along the way. Close by, there are miles of sandy beaches to explore and boat trips run daily from Seahouses to Farne islands where you can look out for birds and seals. Further afield there are magnificent castles and attractions to discover such as Dunstanburgh, Warkworth, Lindisfarne and Cragside House, with towns such as the historic market town of Alnwick; Alnmouth known for its excellent golf course; and Bamburgh with its infamous castle. The Little Boathouse is quaint and inviting offering ample accommodation all on one level and ideally situated for a wealth of local amenities and attractions.

Nearby are miles and miles of splendid sandy beaches and the opportunity to visit the bird sanctuary or seal colony on the famous Farne Islands with boat trips running daily from Seahouses, is not to be missed. There are numerous castles and great houses to explore, such as the magnificent castles at Bamburgh, Cragside, and Alnwick (home of the Duke of Northumberland), to mention just a few. Golf, fishing and riding are also available locally.

VERY small, Bedroom is an alcove behind a curtain. Shower has black mould and needed cleaning, hand basin is minute with a shelf above so you can't use it properly. No upright chairs only stools so no 'romantic dining'. No cleaning products except small amount of w/up liquid. Clothes rail in hallway as a wardrobe. No c/heating, fan heaters and convector only. Not comfortable at all for elderly people. A bit too basic for us, but the location was ideal. Towels were nice and the bed comfortable so not all bad news.

Unfortunately for some reason we did not receive a bottle of wine, snacks or tea in the welcome pack. Contacted Sykes who questioned if it was advertised as being included. Bit strange as itâs on their website. Confirmed it was but never got a reply even after a reminder message on the app. Also didnât realise that there was a cottage above ours and unfortunately the noise from upstairs was horrendous. We did enjoy the break and would stay again
