Our third visit to Victoria Cottage, it is absolutely immaculate and has everything you need! We have been fortunate with the weather and had some lovely beach walks at Low Hauxley, Cresswell, Alnmouth, Amble and Beadnell Bay. Cresswell was perfect for our noisy dog who takes a week to settle anywhere new, the far end of Amble was perfect for her too! The brewery at Amble was a first visit for us, with lovely burgers at the pop-up restaurant. Warkworth House Hotel always provides us with a fantastic hearty meal and welcome. Lovely lemon drizzle cake – we managed to make it last all week this time!

A perfect house in the most perfect location. This has been a lovely holiday to celebrate the start of our retirement! Beautiful beach walks, meals at Bertram’s and a wonderful day out at Cragside near Rothbury. Thank you for the welcome hamper – the lemon drizzle cake was delicious. We had friends and family and they all said how lovely the house was and how well they slept in some very comfortable beds! We will definitely be back!

An amazing little home from home, we didn’t want to leave! This must be at least our fifth visit to Northumberland and Warkworth is one of our favourite places to stay. We have visited Cragside, Amble, Druridge Bay Country Park and Bay, Cresswell and Beadnell. We recommend eating at The Fish Shack in Amble, The Landing at Beadnell and the Saltwater Café in Beadnell. A great welcome hamper was well received, the lemon drizzle cake was delicious! The cottage was very clean throughout and had very comfy bed. We wanted to stay longer!
