On arrival, you and yours truly will be welcomed into a pretty enclosed garden with views of rolling green fields. Enter into your lodge pod via a private decked area with seating. Inside, you’ll discover a cosy lounge area with a TV where you can relax following a day outdoors. Grab a blanket and watch a film as your partner rustles up a meal in the kitchen area for you. On a sunny day, eat your dinner outside with a chilled glass of wine before hitting the hay in the comfy double bed at the rear of the pod.

Wake up early, lace up your walking boots and set off for a glorious ramble along Hadrian’s Wall. If you’re in the mood for a meal mid-meander, you can find a lovely local pub that serves lunch, dinner and afternoon tea in Irthington (2 miles). The buzzing market town of Brampton (3 miles) is also close by and offers a number of cafes and tearooms for visitors to enjoy.
