We are just leaving Ballinorig Lodge after a 5 night stay over Christmas. The lodge is beautiful, made even more stunning with thoughtful decorations, a log fire, cosy blankets and warm decor. The hosts A big thank you to David and Carol. Their place is simply perfect. They have literally thought of everything. On arrival, we had hot chocolates, a box of tea/coffee/sugar etc, a log fire that had already been started and David on hand to show us around. Despite it being Christmas, David offered to drive us into town if we needed, as well as come over and start the fire if we were to struggle. Amenities Hot tub - clean, spacious, and simply glorious to relax in. Bits and bobs draw - any little thing you might need, you’ll find here. Forgot your rain coat? Don’t worry, there’s waterproof ponchos in the draw. Need a nail file? Check the draw. Just an excellent idea. The fire hut - plates, bbq equipment, cups, pillows, cushions. Was absolutely perfect to cosy up and have breakfast in. Location Secluded enough to feel completely cut off from the chaos of the world, but close enough to shops, pubs and beautiful beaches if you wish to visit them. We highly recommend this place. We’re leaving feeling relaxed, rested and ready to face the new year. We will definitely be back! Thank you.

David was so friendly and accommodating- meeting us on arrival, showing how everything works, giving us recommendations on the area and even coming in to light the fire for us while we was out. The place has everything you need- even a bits and bobs draw which i absolutely loved. Great location, clean and cosy.
