Silloth 1.4 miles. Nestled in the quaint village of Skinburness near Silloth in Cumbria, is this delightful two-bedroom bungalow, Solway View. Enjoying fantastic sea views spanning out across to the Dumfries and Galloway coastline and easy access to the local amenities, Solway View makes for a wonderful pet-friendly dwelling for couples or a family of four, plus their canine companion, who are looking to explore the Lakes. Park-up in one of two off-road parking spaces, before unloading your bags and making your way towards your new home-from-home. Discard any coats and shoes in the hallway, where you will find a handy cupboard housing a washing machine and tumble dryer, perfect for keeping your holiday wardrobe fresh! Be welcomed into the fully-equipped kitchen/diner, where you can look forward to rustling up mouth-watering meals for your loved ones, with the help of the electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. North of the Lake District, Silloth is a famous tourist destination on the shores of the Solway Firth in West Cumbria. Skiddaw and the Northern Fells can be seen to the south, on the other side of the water, in the Scottish hills of Southern Galloway. "Invigorating air, mild climate, open streets, its promenade and beach" were some of Silloth's most lauded attributes. It's famous for its light and sunsets, as well as its stunning sea and mountain views. By 1856, a railway had arrived, and three years later the docks were open for business. Opened in 1886, Carr's Biscuit Factory Flour Mill is a historic landmark in the city. For a time, Silloth was one of Scotland's most popular coastal resorts.

Beautifully decorated, immaculate and equipped with everything you could need....even little sewing kits!!! Fabulous views over Solway Firth and so peaceful..well apart from Storm Darragh who visited us the first couple of days!!!! Thank you to Chris for the homemade treats and the present for Luna our greyhound. Not a bad walk into Silloth which is a lovely place. Found a dog friendly cafe, the Fairydust Emporium, and would recommend a visit there. All in all a brilliant week and we would certainly recommend this lovely cottage. We will certainly be back!!!

It is very nicely decorated and the kitchen is well equipped. Normally after a few days I am ready to go home - I miss my own bed! However, this holiday I didnât want to go home, it was that comfortable. The owners have thought about dogs as well, providing towels, poo bags and treats which is a nice touch. We can highly recommend this property and would definitely stay there again.

You have everything that you need. The home is so warm and comfortable. Chris leaves a lovely welcome gift of homemade Marmalade and shortbread biscuits along with other treats. We also were welcomed by a beautiful bunch of roses. Please donâtâ t hesitate to book this cottage with its amazing view of Solway Firth and Criffel in Scotland. Amazing. Love it.
