Guests say

West Border Farm is a spacious and well-equipped property ideal for large gatherings, offering a range of amenities including a hot tub, outdoor kitchen, and large garden. Guests have praised its cleanliness, the warm welcome from the caretaker, and the ample space for socialising and entertainment. While some have noted areas for improvement and maintenance issues, the overall experience has been positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

The majority of guests found the property to be spotless and well-maintained, with several reviews highlighting the cleanliness as a strong point. A few guests mentioned minor issues, but these did not significantly detract from the overall perception of cleanliness.

The property's rural setting in Cumbria & The Lake District has been appreciated for its tranquillity and beauty. Some guests mentioned the challenge of a single-track approach road and its distance from services, but the secluded nature and scenic views have been well-received.

Guests have generally found the property comfortable, with large bedrooms and a spacious living room. Some reviews noted issues with broken furniture and the need for additional seating, but these comments were balanced by positive feedback on the overall comfort of the property.

The property boasts a variety of facilities, including a hot tub, games room, and outdoor kitchen, which have been popular among guests. However, there have been several mentions of maintenance issues, such as broken games equipment and kitchen appliances, which have impacted the score in this category.

While guests have expressed appreciation for the welcome pack and the caretaker's attentiveness, there are insufficient references to specific thoughtful gestures or gifts to accurately score this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Susan very helpful and a lovely touch with the welcome pack. We were there for a surprise birthday for my wife with all the family (17of us including 2 babies) plenty of space for everyone.

Really enjoyed it. However the maintenance is terrible, lots of things are broken and there is a lot of small decorating jobs to do. This place really just needs a week of fixing. Just examples... Tv in lounge... broken Dvd player.... broken Tv in kitchen.... broken Sofa..... broken Shower doors.... broken Radiators.... rusty Pool table.... broken Welcome book.... very tired I'd be happy to fix all that in exchange for a free weekend. None of the job are huge (well except for the big holes in the kitchen ceiling and downstairs bathroom). Come on.... throw a couple of hundred quid at a spruce up. That said.... will be back.
