Enter into the property through the vestibule, where you can hang your coats and belongings before wandering into the lounge. Home to a wood burner, you can enjoy this room throughout the day, relaxing on the large sofa amongst the light and refreshing interior. Views of the garden follow you around as you prepare those home cooked meals in the modern, spacious kitchen before sitting down at the dining table to enjoy. You can make the most of this beautiful layout from morning through to evening. A classic bathroom lies across the way so you can get ready at ease before heading out for the day. When the sun sets, the king-size bedroom is ideal for reading a book before drifting into a good nights sleep. Matched with pretty décor and bedside tables, you will feel at home amongst the mix of colour and style that this room has to offer. The nearby twin bedroom is also well presented, tied together with a more neutral tone, so you can pick and choose, or even house the children here. Outside, a balcony sweeps around the bungalow, and a garden is ideal for enjoying some 'me time' in the sunshine or strolling past the pond. There are many footpaths from Slack Head through woods and limestone pavements. Beetham is a pretty village with a pub serving good food, and an excellent garden centre with a great cafe. The cottage is within easy walking distance of the Fairy Steps and just three miles away from the coastal village of Arnside with shops and cafes, Arnside Knott, coastal walks, and a viaduct across the estuary providing an interesting train journey to Grange Over Sands. Leighton Moss RSPB centre is three miles away with another excellent cafe and birdwatching. You can see three counties within the spectacular view from our house, and we are handy for trips to the South Lakes, the Yorkshire Dales, and North Lancashire's Lune Valley, moors and coastline. Lake Windermere is just a 20 minute drive, and Windermere town just 25. A lack of street lamps gives us great views of the stars on a clear night. The historic houses and gardens of Leighton Hall, Levens Hall, Sizergh Castle and Holker Hall are within easy reach. Golf is available at Silverdale, Kirby Lonsdale and Windermere. Cartmel racecourse is also nearby. Whatever you decide to do, you are sure to enjoy your stay at South View.

Beetham is a village, just north of the border with Lancashire. It was once the centre of the ancient parish of Beetham and rests within the Silverdale and Arnside designated area of outstanding natural beauty, located only fifteen minutes from the Lake District. Further afield is Milnthorpe, once a medieval market town, resting in the South Lakes between Kendal and Carnforth, just a few miles from the seaside village of Arnside.
